When Hymen Ponn and his son Albert opened their doors some sixty years ago in Boston's Chinatown district, they were certain of only three things: (1) they would practice the most precise craftsmanship; (2) they would settle for no less then a perfect product every time; (3) the customers word would be law!
Making a new business succeed under these strict guide lines is a tall order at any time - but doing so in the midst of a world wide depression would seem next to impossible. But by the end of World War II business was booming.
